Traditional favourite Fried Eggs

Take a pan and heat a little oil or butter in it. Break an egg in a dish first. After the oil/butter is heated put the egg in the pan. Let it fry on a low flame till the egg white becomes solid. Flip it over if you want the egg yellow to solidify. Serve hot with toast or chappati with a little tomato sauce.

Potato Lollipops

A dish for fun times. Boil 4 potatoes, peel them and mash them. add salt, 1 very finely cut green chilly and some coriander leaves also cut fine. Keep the potato mixture aside. Then in a bowl of water add a slice of bread. When the bread is soaked remove it from the water and squeeze the excess water out. Add 1 teaspoon of cornflour to the crumbled bread. Mix this with the potato mixture. Make even sized balls of this mixture, then flatten and shape with ice cream spoons so that the look like lollipops. Remove them from the spoons and deep fry and serve hot with sauce.

All Time Great - The Omlette

Break an egg in a dish. Add to it fine chopped onions, fine chopped coriander, chopped chilly (Optional), a teaspoon of milk and salt and pepper to taste. Beat the batter with a fork. Heat oil in a pan, add the batter to it. Let it cook on a medium flame till the lower batter solidifies and becomes a golden brown. Then flip the omlette and let the other side cook in the same way. Serve hot with toast or chappaties and sauce.

A lovely cheesy delight.

Beat 3 teaspoon butter and 1 teacup grated cheese, little chopped coriander, a taste of chilly sauce and a little salt. Arrange 6 bread slices on a baking tray and bake them in a hot oven for 5 minutes. Cool the slices spread a little of the filling on each toast. Bake in a hot oven for 10 minutes just before serving.

Patient: "Doctor, doctor, my son's just swallowed some gunpowder!"
